Your Birthing Journey: Held, Honored, and Supported

Welcoming a baby is one of life's most profound and beautiful transitions, and you don't have to walk this path alone. Think of me as your experienced, protective big sister—I'm here to hold your hand, create a buffer of calm around you, and make sure you have the space to process every moment without feeling rushed or pressured. My goal is simple: to empower you to have a beautiful, autonomous birth experience.

Here is how I will be a constant, caring presence for you and your family:

1. Preparing and Planning (Two Prenatal Visits)

Before the big day arrives, we'll meet twice to lay a strong foundation of confidence and clarity. These aren't just appointments; they are dedicated, safe spaces for you to dream about your ideal birth.

  • Customized Comfort: We'll dive deep into your birth plan, talking through every choice so you feel informed and ready. I'll share simple, proven techniques—from movement to mindset—to help make the process feel easier and more intuitive for your body.

  • Your Personal Q&A: Is your mind buzzing with questions about anything from introducing a new sibling or pet to those first few days of breastfeeding? Bring them all! We'll talk them through, providing you with real-world answers and resources so you can enter your labor feeling prepared and peaceful.

2. Labor and Birth (Continuous On-Call Support)

When it's time, I drop everything and come to you. From the moment I arrive until two hours after your baby is nestled in your arms, I am physically present, entirely focused on you.

  • Your Steady Anchor: I am your unwavering calming presence, a soothing voice and a strong hand to hold when things get intense. I will remind you of your power and your rhythm.

  • Your Fierce Advocate: I am your cheerleader and your buffer. While I can't speak for you, I stand right by your side to make sure your voice is heard, your preferences are respected, and that you have the uninterrupted space you need to listen to your body and your baby.

3. Postpartum Nurturing (One Postpartum Visit)

The birth story doesn't end when the baby arrives. In the tender weeks that follow, we'll schedule a time to reconnect, usually in the comfort of your home.

  • Processing Your Power: We'll sit together to process the birth, allowing you to share your story, celebrate your triumphs, and integrate the experience. This moment of reflection is key to emotional healing.

  • Family Check-In: I'll check in on the emotional and mental health of the whole family, not just the baby. We’ll discuss how you’re feeling and where your family might need a little extra help.

  • Community Connection: Need resources for local support groups, lactation consultants, or postpartum meal train ideas? I will share tailored community resources to help you feel connected and cared for as you settle into new parenthood.

Birth Photography*: Recording the Miracle of Your Child's Birth

Imagine having the most transformative moments of your life preserved not just in memory, but in timeless art. My goal is to capture the raw power, the quiet tenderness, and the incredible joy of your baby's arrival so you can hold it in your hands forever.

I don't just take pictures; I document the triumphant journey—the look on your face that says, "I did it, they are here!" You'll see the unwavering love in your partner’s eyes, the moment they supported you through a wave, and the anticipation of meeting their new little one. These are the moments you deserve to relive again and again.

The Photography Experience

  • Continuous On-Call Coverage: I dedicate myself to being on-call for your birth from 38 to 42 weeks. When your labor progresses, I arrive to document the unfolding story.

  • A Complete Story: I photograph your active labor and remain by your side for up to two hours postpartum to capture the full, gentle introduction of your baby to the world. This includes:

Those precious first moments of meeting your baby. The awe of their first measurements. The tenderness of their first latch (if breastfeeding). The heartwarming introductions to older siblings or family members.

  • Your Final Gallery: You will receive a curated online gallery of around 100 beautifully edited images approximately two weeks after the birth. These photographs will be your family's treasured heirloom, ready to be hung on your wall and cherished for generations.

Let me be the discreet, professional eye that captures the magic, allowing you to stay fully present in the moment.

Newborn Photography: Preserving the Miracle of Small

In the blink of an eye, your tiny baby will grow. I'm here to gently pause time, capturing those exquisite, newly arrived details that disappear far too quickly. Imagine hanging on your wall a piece of art that forever preserves the perfect curve of their tiny toes, the sweet pout of their plump lips, and your own proud, soft gaze. We will document your powerful ability to balance that little life in the crook of your arm—a moment of peace and connection you'll cherish forever.

Your Serene Studio Session

  • The Golden Window: To capture those peacefully sleepy, curl-up-small poses, we schedule the session when your baby is between 5 and 15 days old. This is the sweet spot for comfort and beautiful, deep slumber.

  • A Retreat: You will bring your little one to my dedicated studio in Lacey. This space is designed to be a calm, warm, and safe retreat—the perfect environment for a serene newborn session.

  • The Experience: The session is a peaceful, unhurried process, lasting about 2 hours. While the primary focus is on your baby's delicate features and sleepy poses, we will also capture a few timeless shots that include parents or older siblings, documenting your family's very first portraits as a new unit.

  • Your Final Heirlooms: You will receive a gorgeous collection of at least 15 fully edited, high-quality images. These photographs are your first family heirlooms, ready to be displayed and loved.

Booking & Preparation

To ensure your baby's slot during this critical 5–15 day window, we ask that you book your session while you are pregnant. Once your baby has made their grand entrance, simply notify me, and we'll finalize the exact date and time for your newborn's photographic debut!
